Help - My P25 is Bricked

Greetings,
My original P25 no longer operates. I have used the latest and last FW version, but all I get is "discovering device, please wait". I tried holding down the button waiting for the Led's to blink and inserting the USB cable to the unit, no joy. Is my unit dead? Any help would be appreciated.

If the leds are blinking, it isn't bricked. Are you running software for the P25RX-II? It won't recognize the P25RX (first model).

no, i'm running the last FW for teh P25rx (not P25rxII) from BT site.

Have you tried a different USB cable?  Also, please examine the USB connector and make sure there is no damage to the pads/connector.

Fwiw all usb-c are not created equal, try different ones, non data will not work on my pcs, needs to be a good quality cable

Yes, I tried different cables, still no joy

looks like the usb-c connector on the unit is not making good contact with the usb-c cable. This most likely happened when the time the FW was coming daily and had bad version that had many people trying to reset the start-up by taking the cable in and out to get the receiver to load. all the Led lights are on and blinking, so it's getting power

You can send it in for repair / connector replacment. email me to arrange the return.
